Republican Gov. Bruce Rauner’s budget on Wednesday will propose having school districts and state universities pay more of their teachers’ pension costs, in an attempt to save state government millions of dollars a year.

    Small school districts such as the one I am the bookkeeper and admin. asst. to admin. for CANNOT afford such a proposal. Because we are having to offer and pay for the health insurance, we are barely standing out of the water without having to pay more than we already do for TRS on our teachers. This is not a good proposal.
