For too long, the state of Illinois has suffered through a lengthy fiscal crisis that continues to impact all of its citizens.  When will state finances be restored and the state’s debt burden be addressed?

We must pressure candidates for office and the state’s current elected officials to work together and find solutions to answer these questions that have the state of Illinois in such distress.

On October 2, 2018, join AARP Illinois and NPR Illinois for a free, open to the public town hall meeting in Chicago to share your story on how the fiscal crisis is impacting your community and your recommended solutions to candidates and elected officials to return Illinois to fiscal health.

Make sure your voice is heard!  Find out what challenges lie ahead for all Illinoisans if a comprehensive solution is not enacted.

    An essential speaker for this event would be Ralph Martire, who has been working on a non-partisan fiscal plan for Illinois for more than a decade. His common-sense approach is detailed and workable.
    I’ve seen his presentation three times and it makes eminent sense.
